Harga Batu Bara Mei 2012 - Harga rata-rata batu bara selama beberapa bulan terakhir menurun akibat melonjaknya produksi dan pasokan di dalam negeri. "Harga turun sejak November lalu," kata Direktur Eksekutif Asosiasi Pertambangan Batu Bara Indonesia (APBI) Supriatna Sahala, Senin, 21 Mei 2012.

Supriatna menjelaskan, pada periode yang sama tahun lalu, harga batu bara bisa mencapai kisaran US$ 120 per ton. Sementara, tiga bulan terakhir ini, harga rata-rata batu bara hanya mencapai US$ 100 per ton.

Tingginya produksi diakui menjadi faktor turunnya harga komoditas tersebut. Rata-rata produksi selama tiga bulan saja sudah mencapai 102 juta ton, lebih tinggi ketimbang periode yang sama tahun lalu sebanyak 90 juta ton.

Ia memprediksi produksi tahun ini bisa mencapai 400 juta ton secara keseluruhan. Melebihi target pemerintah yang hanya sebanyak 332 juta ton untuk tahun ini. Produksi batu bara yang terus melonjak juga didorong faktor terus bertambahnya permintaan.

"Terutama dari Cina dan India," kata dia. Permintaan bertambah karena saat ini negara-negara yang dipasok batu bara sedang gencar membangun pembangkit listrik, bahkan hingga ke negara-negara di Timur Tengah. Dengan dibangunnya pembangkit listrik, maka kebutuhan batu bara di negara tersebut bisa mencapai 60 juta ton dalam setahun. Belum lagi faktor dukungan cuaca yang mengakibatkan kegiatan produksi tidak mengalami hambatan.

Informasi SNMPTN 2013 Gratis - Pada tahun 2013, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan berencana menggratiskan biaya seleksi nasional masuk perguruan tinggi negeri. Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi Djoko Santoso mengatakan, saat ini Kemdikbud tengah menghitung dana yang diperlukan untuk menerapkan SNMPTN gratis.

Tahun 2011, pemerintah mengalokasikan Rp 30 miliar untuk menyelenggarakan SNMPTN. Besaran dana itu mampu menutupi biaya operasional SNMPTN jalur undangan dan ujian tulis sekitar 35 persen.

Rencana ini, jelas Djoko, sejalan dengan akan dihapuskannya SNMPTN jalur ujian tertulis. Menurutnya, dengan hanya membuka jalur undangan dalam penerimaan mahasiswa baru di PTN, beban penyelenggaraan SNMPTN lebih ringan karena tidak perlu lagi mencetak naskah untuk ujian tulis.

"Semua menjadi lebih hemat karena tidak ada biaya cetak. SNMPTN akan gratis karena pemerintah yang membayarnya," kata Djoko, Selasa (13/3/2012), di Gedung Kemdikbud, Jakarta.

Selama ini, peserta SNMPTN memang dikenai biaya pendaftaran yang nilainya berbeda setiap tahunnya. Pada 2012, setiap peserta jalur undangan dikenai biaya pendaftaran sebesar Rp 175.000. Adapun untuk jalur ujian tulis setiap peserta dikenai biaya Rp 150.000 untuk kelompok IPS dan Rp 175.000 untuk kelompok IPC (IPA dan IPS).

Di luar itu, terdapat juga ujian keterampilan sebesar Rp 150.000 untuk setiap peserta yang dibayarkan saat peserta mengikuti ujian keterampilan di PTN penyelenggara.

Beasiswa Gratis Kuliah ke Jepang 2012 - 2013 Di Buka :: Kedutaan Besar Jepang untuk Indonesia mulai membuka pendaftaran beasiswa kuliah ke Jepang untuk tahun 2013. Pendaftaran sebagai research student mulai dibuka Senin (2/4/2012).Mahasiswa yang diterima dalam program beasiswa Pemerintah Jepang (Monbukagakusho) ini belajar di Jepang pada April 2013-Maret 2014.

Peminat bisa melamar ke program degree (master/doctor/professional graduate cource) atau meneruskan program doktor setelah menyelesaikan program master atau professional graduate course apabila lulus seleksi tes ujian yang diberikan oleh universitas yang bersangkutan.

Penerima beasiswa mendapatkan tiket pergi dan pulang, uang masuk universitas, dan uang kuliah yang dibiayai dengan beasiswa Monbukagakusho. Selain itu, para mahasiswa juga mendapat uang sebesar 143.000 yen per bulan untuk biaya kehidupan sehari-hari.

Formulir pendaftaran dapat diambil secara gratis di Kedubes Jepang bagian pendidikan di Jakarta, serta Konsulat Jenderal Jepang di Surabaya dan Medan.
